Real estate takes a hit in Hyderabad
Home sales and new housing supply have dropped significantly in Hyderabad.
According to real estate consultancy PropTiger, home sales fell by 26% in Hyderabad—from 14,298 units sold between January and March 2024 to just 10,647 units in the same period this year.
While Hyderabad saw a sharp decline, Bengaluru experienced a 13% rise in home sales, and Chennai saw an 8% increase.
New housing supply in Hyderabad also dropped by 33%, whereas Bengaluru saw a massive 83% increase.
